Alhambra Rambler This self guided walking week is based in the beautiful ‘Poniente Granadino’ region of Andalucia. |
(Day 1) Airport pick up and transfer. |
| (Day 2) The first three walks are set around the historic town of Alhama de Granada. The first being a 4 to 5 hour medium walk through the Gorge and around the lake and ‘Las Viñas’, |
(Day 3) The second ‘Pork and Herbs’ which is a 3 to 4 hour walk through the pine forests and Cortijo’s at the foot of La Maroma mountain. |
(Day 4) The third starts within the gorge of Alhama and travels through the old flour mills to a track taking you over the tops of Alhama to the lake at Pantano de Los Bermejales. |
Accommodation for your first three nights are in the lovely ‘La Seguiriya’ in Alhama. From Bermejales you will be transported with your luggage to the hotel ‘Don Gonzales’ in Cenes de La Vega, just outside the city of Granada. (Day 4) |
(Day 5) Relax and enjoy the city of Granada and should you wish the Alhambra Palace. |
(Day 6) Transport to Monachil where can enjoy you fourth walk through the stunning scenery and rope bridges of the Monachil Gorge and ‘El Tunel de Las Palomas. |
(Day 7) ‘La Via Verde’ a 12km round trip through s disused railway track at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. |
(Day 8) Transport from hotel to airport. |
*Price includes airport and luggage transfers, and also transfers of clients to walks around Granada. (Based on 2 people sharing a room) Maps or written guide books, where appropriate, are of course provided. A visit the Alhambra Palace is also included in the price if required. (Advance notice will be needed to ensure tickets are available for the Alhambra) |
