The Alhambra Rambler is now very proud to offer Triathlon Training Camps to people interested in improving their triathlon fitness and techniques, or even for people who would like to start triathlon training and have never done anything like that before.
It was the logical next step for the Alhambra Rambler to offer Triathlon training as we have been working alongside some very experienced triathletes for some time now. Penny Edwards is one of the UK’s most successful ladies veteran athletes competing to a very high standard in Triathlon and Ironman events around the world. She will be offering her wealth of experience and training techniques, and will be one of your personal tutors during the Triathlon Training Holidays. Along with Penny there will be Charlotte Edwards who is currently part of Team GB and is hoping to represent Great Britain in the Triathlon at the 2012 London Olympics.
Alhambra Rambler is based in Alhama de Granada, Andalucia. This is the perfect base for training, not just for Triathlons, but for a multitude of sports. There is so much on offer here – from cycle routes through some fantastic countryside with fantastic climbs on great road surfaces and cautious motorists. Swimming can be trained for either in pools, lakes, or even the sea, again depending on the type of triathlon/ironman event you may be training for. The Alhambra Rambler is also in talks with Europe’s highest high altitude training centre in order to offer high altitude training courses for potential triathletes. The centre offers an Olympic size swimming pool, 400m outdoor track, 100m indoor track, weights room and hydromassage amongst many other features.
